Governors School for the Sciences, 2000-2001, University of Tennessee, Ecology Teaching Assistant. Taught high achieving high school students from across the state of Tennessee for two summers.

Tennessee School for the Deaf (K-12), 1999-2000, Bus aide and substitute teacher. While in school at UT I did occasional substitute teaching on my off days, and rode one of the schools buses daily to aid with some “difficult” kids (not that difficult).

Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (RICA),1998-99, Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery County Maryland. Served as an informal crisis counselor for two years in a high school for at risk teens.
